Tech Tuesday provides a full day of comprehensive technology training for REALTORS®, and precedes the C.A.R. Centennial REALTOR® EXPO, which runs from Sept. 20-22 at the San Diego Convention Center. <p>The survey tracks current trends in technology used by REALTORS® on topics ranging from computer and technology usage to Internet needs and adoption within their real estate business, and was conducted during the second quarter of 2005. <h4> Highlights of the ?2005 Use of Technology Survey? include:</h4> <ul >  <li> 90 percent of REALTORS® have a high-speed Internet connection at home, an increase from 82 percent a year ago and 71 percent in 2003</li> <li> 46 percent of REALTORS® use e-mail as their primary form of communication with their clients</li> <li> 31 percent said a Blackberry or Treo was their most important technology upgrade in 2005</li> <li> 61 percent of REALTORS® post listings to their own Web site</li> <li> 67 percent of REALTORS® find the Internet extremely or very important in the marketing and promotion of their business</li> <li> 33 percent of REALTORS®? business is coming from the Internet.</li> <br> </ul> At the Tech Tuesday opening session, "A View From the Top: Real Estate's Evolving Technology Landscape," C.A.R. Executive Vice President Joel Singer served as moderator as four high-power, tech-savvy panelists discussed the ever-changing role of technology in the real estate industry. C.A.R. is headquartered in Los Angeles.</div> <h3> July Sales Statistics for Multi-Family Properties in San Diego County</h3> <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">According to Sandicor (San Diego's MLS Board), the top three areas in San Diego County for new listings in the month of July were North Park, Escondido and Pacific Beach with 25, 15, and 14 new listings respectively. Sales prices were within two percentage points of list prices in Pacific Beach and Escondido while North Park's sales prices were about 92.5% of the list price on average. <p>As for the leading sales markets in San Diego county for 2 to 4 units, East San Diego, Logan Heights each led the pack with 10 sales each and Pacific Beach came in thrid with 7. As I said earlier the sales prices for these properties in Pacific Beach were nearly the same as the list prices on average with a 1.5% difference.
