NEW LOCATION - California City Ace Hardware will have a new home by November after owners Bill and Kathy Smith, assisted by city officials and chamber members, broke ground for a 14,000 square foot store on Tuesday. Smith said that in addition to hardware items and tools, the new store will stock stationery supplies, craft items and feature a section filled with nic nacs. With the expansion, the nursery will also be enlarged, said store manager Nathan Page. Smith said, "We are expanding to meet the needs of the people who have been so good to us." Ace Hardware has been serving California City residents for 11 years and has 12 employees.
