Silent Seven awards to be presented

CALIFORNIA CITY - The commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center will deliver an update on projects underway and planned at Edwards Air Force Base, at a "Fifth Thursday" meeting of the California City Economic Development Corporation January 29.
Major General Wilbert "Doug" Pearson, Jr., will address the dinner meeting to be held at the Airport Cafe.
Annual "Silent Seven" awards will be presented and the city's business of the year will be recognized.
Silent Seven awards honor local residents that have contributed to improving the quality of life in the city.
Reservations are limited and can be made by calling 760.373.2007. A
no host bar will open at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7. Dinner
is $15 per person or $25 per couple.
