of about $400.00 a month. The buyer laughed at the broker, For trying to
sell him a worthless piece of land in the valley, which after all was just
farmland, where there were just a few scattered communi-ties, and most
of those were further east, where some pioneers had just put up a Movie
Studio. Well, someone did buy the land, and just 10 years later the corner
would be sold for $400,000.00, because by then the population of the Valley
had doubled, and industry was beginning to move in. Well, when the "Sherman
Oaks Galleria" was built there, the parcel was sold for $17,000,000.00,
and today, it would be worth $40,000,000.00 if it were still empty.
